Troops have foiled a suspected terrorist attack in Kachia Local Government Area of Kaduna State, recovering an AK-47 rifle during a security operation in the area.
The operation followed efforts by security forces to prevent criminal elements from carrying out attacks and other violent activities within vulnerable communities.
During the operation, troops reportedly encountered suspected terrorists and successfully disrupted their activities. An AK-47 rifle was recovered as security personnel continued to comb the area for fleeing suspects.
In a separate operation, troops also arrested a suspected criminal as part of ongoing efforts to tackle terrorism, banditry and other security threats in Kaduna State.
